How to Ask for Help

We can all understand the fears of appearing weak, becoming a burden, and being indebted to others.

In “How to ask for help” Andrea Ayers explains how these fears prevent us from seeking out help and importantly how we can get over these fears in order to seek the help that we all require.

It is important to learn how to ask for help because it enables more effective problem solving, allows you to acquire new skills, and it builds and establishes networks.

Please read “How to ask for help” by Andrea Ayers for some really useful insights about the value of asking for help and tips about how best to do it. The tips include, in a business setting, fostering a cooperative rather than a competitive work environment.

It is time we come to realize that human beings are made to cooperate. The full potential of any human being is only ever unlocked in cooperation, never in competition. Competition prevents us from sharing in the success of others and, very importantly, prevents us from learning from them. If we compete with someone they cant be nearly as helpful to us as they can be if we cooperate.

Salaam Assad. Thank you for the useful link.

By the way, it is perfectly legitimate, and very useful from a reader’s point of view, to give a short summary of the key points of an article we are referring to in our blog. It helps the reader prevent a jump and decide whether the article they are going to open is useful. Also, it adds a bit of meat to your own blog. 😉 Salaam.
