Changing Education Paradigms

Education is one of my favorite topics of discussion. The simple reason for this is education is concerned with molding raw and limitless human potential into something useful for society first and foremost though it is often disguised as being in the interests of the individual.

What education is makes it a very serious topic of discussion and we have a great responsibility to our youth to get education right because with education we are essentially manipulating their being, we are making them be a certain way and be a certain kind of person. The responsibility we have is to ensure that the way we mold our youth does not impede them from actualizing as much of their potential as possible.

Sir Ken Robinson offers an excellent talk on Education and how he thinks it should change. I feel we have a responsibility to keep the considerations like the one’s raised in this talk firmly in view as a society.
