Sending from your Schuitema email in Gmail

Gmail lets you send messages with another of your email addresses listed as the sender instead of your Gmail address. This feature helps you manage multiple accounts from the Gmail interface; it works only if you already own the email account linked to the alternate address. This means you can send emails from you@schuitema.co.za even from your personal gmail address you@gmail.com.

Step 1:

Click the gear in the top right.
Select Settings.

Step 5:

Gmail will now send a verification email to your schuitema.co.za email. Go to your schuitema.co.za inbox and either click the link in the message Gmail sent or enter the confirmation code in the Accounts and Import section of your Gmail settings.

If Gmail sent a verification email and you didn’t receive it, try checking your Spam or Bulk Mail folders for a message from account-verification-noreply@google.com to see if the email ended up in there.

Step 6:

Once you’re set up, here’s how to send mail

To send mail from your Schuitema email, click the From link when you compose a new message. If you’re replying to or forwarding a message, click the field where your recipients are listed, then click From. After clicking From, you’ll see a drop-down menu next to your address, where you can select the email address you’d like to send from.
